Last summer proved to be a fascinating adventure for our students who learned about eco-friendly forms of energy, and made and used a dynamo circuit engine in a model car, before assembling a solar powered robot!
They also learned about the life cycle of Painted Lady Butterflies, which we raised and released, and the basics of Computer Programming. Science Thursday topics included: atomic structures and Lewis dot structures, the Large Hadron Collider, the Solar System, Chromatography, and Genetics, among others. |
This Summer! PRAYING MANTIS HATCHLINGS!!!
This summer we will be learning about the life cycle of the Praying Mantis, and hatching our own. We will also be exploring the role the mantis and ladybug have in our ecosystem. We will be having a ladybug release party, and then use the Scientific Method to study the effects of our bugs on our local environment. |
